In a video shared to TikTok over the weekend, the country singer was seemingly emotional, alluding to the fact that she had to apologize publicly for something.
I just hope you guys can forgive me.

"It is true," she continued, "it has been a long time since I've dropped new music," she said as the tone of the video changed to upbeat and happy.
"But I'm working on it, and it will be out soon," she said with a smile.
And fans of course, couldn't contain their excitement.
"This just made my year!" one fan said. "Couldn't be happier that your back at it.""I can’t wait! It has been too long!" one said, while another added, "We love ya Gretchen!"
However a few were relieved that there was nothing for the famed country singer to actually apologize for.
"Gretchen, girl you could get a side gig in acting!" they said. "You had us scared."
"I was like. 'No way she has done something wrong,'" another fan said. "Cang [sic] wait to hear the new music."

Wilson's announcement comes almost 10 years after she last released music with the 2017 album 'Ready to Get Rowdy.' Known for her earlier hits like "Redneck Woman" and "Here for the Party," which launched her career in the mid 2000s, the 52-year-old also announced in late 2025 that she'll be revisiting some of her breakout hits with a rerecord of her debut album. This time around though, she'll have some famous friends, including Tanya Tucker and Cody Johnson, join her on the new venture. “I’m going to have a guest vocalist on each song. I’ve gotten some promises from some pretty big names," she said on Rolling Stone's country podcast, 'Nashville Now,' in November.
The new music that she announced on TikTok will be in addition to the reimagined album. ? SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox ?
