The Clippers signed promising rookie Kobe Sanders to a standard contract, making him officially part of the team’s 15-man roster. The second-round pick from Nevada had been on a two-way contract.
Sanders was approaching the 50-game cap for a two-way player, having appeared in 43 NBA games and was listed as active for two others. Now, he has no restrictions on how much he plays moving forward. He is averaging 7.0, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists over 21.5 minutes this season.
Sanders’ deal includes a team option for the 2026-27 season, according to The Athletic.
Jordan Miller, a third-year player, is expected to be signed to a similar deal. Hampered by a chronic hamstring injury early in the season, the Clippers’ other two-way player has averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 over 19.8 minutes in 30 games.
