Celebrate Soulfully Is Back at Disney Parks for Black History Month

If you’re heading to Disney Parks this month—or already counting down to a February visit—there’s more happening than rides and fireworks. Black History Month is officially underway, and Disney is marking it with Celebrate Soulfully, a series of experiences unfolding right now across both coasts that spotlight music, art, food and culture in ways that feel joyful, communal and easy to discover between attractions.

At Disneyland Resort, the month includes the return of Celebrate Gospel concerts at Downtown Disney, lighting up the LIVE! Stage over two February weekends. Grammy Award–winning artists Bishop Hezekiah Walker and Yolanda Adams headline the performances, alongside community choirs from across Southern California. The concerts don’t require park admission, making them a flexible stop whether you’re in the parks all day or just swinging by at night.

Throughout the resort, newly debuted heritage trail displays are already in place, honoring influential Black leaders, artists and thinkers. Guests will find these tributes woven into familiar areas—from Frontierland to Buena Vista Street—including displays recognizing Leah Chase near Tiana’s Palace and Disney Legend Floyd Norman in Disney California Adventure.

Food is also part of the celebration, with limited-time dishes available now through early March. Highlights include a French Quarter–inspired fried chicken bowl at Tiana’s Palace and New Orleans BBQ shrimp at Lamplight Lounge.

At Walt Disney World Resort, Celebrate Soulfully kicked off this week and continues throughout February. A special Magic Kingdom parade moment on February 9, led by Toya Johnson-Rushing as honorary Grand Marshal, sets the tone, followed by performances, art and food offerings across the resort.

EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts features appearances by Black artists and the return of the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, while Disney’s Animal Kingdom brings the energy with drumming groups and Caribbean street performances. Disney Springs adds vibrant murals and installations by Black artists, many of which are already up and on view.

Celebrate Soulfully is unfolding across Disney Parks all month long, weaving music, art, food and storytelling into the everyday rhythm of a Disney visit. Whether you catch a gospel performance, spot a heritage display or stumble onto a live show between attractions, the celebration adds another layer of joy, history and connection to a February visit.
