ROCHESTER, N.Y. — As the cold weekend approaches, the George Eastman Museum offers a glimpse of spring with its vibrant floral display.
The museum in Rochester is filled with hundreds of blooms, scents, and colors of spring. The display draws thousands of visitors each year, providing a much-needed break from the winter weather.
“If you look outside – you get a great contrast – because standing inside its spring – outside in gardens – foot of snow and blowing wind – its great – this is the first taste of spring in Rochester,” said an official.
The origins of the Dutch Connection date back to the early 20th century. George Eastman would order tens of thousands of bulbs directly from Holland every year between 1905 and 1932.
The flowers will be on display through Feb. 22.
