A couple of former Texas A&M stars will be present at the World Baseball Classic this spring.
Rosters for the event were officially announced on Thursday evening. Michael Wacha made the Team USA roster and is expected to be part of the team’s bullpen.
Ryan Prager, who pitched for Texas A&M as recently as last season, made the roster for Team Israel.

Alex Wilson was on the team in 2017 and Brooks Raley made the squad in 2023. Prager is the first Texas A&M player to represent a country besides the United States at the World Baseball Classic.
Wacha is a baseball veteran who has been pitching in the major leagues since 2013. He’s coming off of a strong season with the Kansas City Royals, where he posted an ERA of 3.86 in 31 starts.
Prager began his pro career in 2025. He was drafted in the 9th round by the Cleveland Guardians and posted a 4.15 ERA in 4.1 innings at Single-A Lynchburg in 2025. He struck out 7 batters and allowed 7 hits.
