Arroyo has spent the last two seasons as the Sun Devils’ OC and quarterbacks coach. Under Arroyo, the Sun Devils averaged 25.8 points (12th in conference) and 417.3 yards (fifth) per game last season.

Arroyo started his coaching career in 2003 as an undergraduate assistant coach at San Jose State. He had a brief stint in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014 as their quarterbacks coach.

Prior to being hired by ASU in 2024, Arroyo was the head coach for the UNLV Rebels for three seasons (2020-22), going 7-23 during that span.

If Arroyo is hired by the Giants, he would reunite with former Sun Devil running back Cam Skattebo, who played under him in 2024.

Under Arroyo, Skattebo rushed for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns, while catching 45 passes for 605 yards and three touchdowns. The Sun Devils went 11-3 in 2024, winning the Big 12 Championship and reaching the quarterfinals of the 2024 College Football Playoff.
