RIYADH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Wednesday. During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed aspects of bilateral relations, areas of cooperation, and opportunities to further develop them across various sectors. They discussed the latest regional and international developments and the efforts being made to address them. An official reception ceremony was held in honor of the German chancellor, prior to the official session of talks. At the outset of the session, the Crown Prince welcomed the German chancellor to the Kingdom, while Chancellor Merz expressed his pleasure over his visit to Saudi Arabia and meeting the Crown Prince. Those who attended the talks session included Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman; Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd; Riyadh Region Deputy Emir Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman; Minister of National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar; Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan; Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah; Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban; Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Qasabi; Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan, the accompanying minister; Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih; and Saudi Ambassador to Germany Fahad Alhathal. From the German side, the session was attended by Federal Government Spokesperson and Head of the Press and Information Office Stefan Kornelius, German Ambassador to the Kingdom Michael Kindsgrab, Foreign and Security Policy Advisor to the Federal Chancellor Dr. Günter Sautter, Economic and Financial Policy Advisor to the Federal Chancellor Dr. Levin Holle, and other senior officials.
