Metalcore band Thornhill announced unexpected changes regarding their BODIES Australian Tour.
In a recent social media update, the quartet confirmed that their special guest, Amira Elfeky, will not be joining their five-date concert due to medical reasons.
In a post shared on Instagram, the band confirmed pushing through with the tour without the Los Angeles-based American-Egyptian singer-songwriter.
Despite the sudden changes, BODIES Australian Tour will have the nu metal/alternative band Ocean Grove stepping in to fill the slot following Elfeky’s absence.
“Unfortunately, @amiraelfeky has had to withdraw from the BODIES Australia tour due to medical reasons, wishing her all the best. Luckily, we have our best friends @oceangrove stepping in to complete the world tour!” the caption reads along with the updated tour poster.

The announcement garnered support and understanding from fans with many looking forward to the shows regardless of the changes.
“Would've enjoyed seeing her, but Ocean Grove is probably one of the best choices,” one wrote.
“Was really looking forward to Amira but still goated line up nonetheless,” a commenter said.
“Bruh, this is huge,” a follower added.
The same goes for another who said, “Was keen to see Amira, but Ocean Grove is insanely good. They were amazing at Poppy.”
Besides Ocean Grove, Thornhill also invited the influential Japanese metalcore band Paledusk and contemporary Australian metalcore band HEAVENSGATE to join as supporting acts.

Elfeky expressed her disappointment with the cancellation of her scheduled headline tour and supporting act but explained that the “circumstances” were “beyond” her control.
“I never take a decision like this lightly, especially knowing how much time, excitement and planning goes into showing up for a show,” as mentioned in a statement.
