A 44-year-old man is facing a host of charges after he allegedly hid a camera in the bathroom of a Manhattan residence during a New Year’s Eve party.
The Will County State’s Attorney’s Office has approved 14 felony counts against the suspect in the case, alleging he surreptitiously recorded numerous individuals during a party on December 31.
According to Manhattan police, it was alleged that a concealed camera was found hidden inside a bathroom in a residence in the 24400 block of Arrowhead.
A search warrant was executed at the property on January 6, and on Wednesday the suspect, identified as Manhattan resident Jonathan Wisniewski, was taken into custody.
The suspect in the case faces nine felony charges of unauthorized video recording of a child, a Class 3 felony. He also faces five counts of unauthorized video recording of an adult, a Class 4 felony.
He is being held in detention pending a hearing this week, prosecutors said.
