The upcoming ceremony, set to take place this Spring in Oklahoma City, will include a presentation of special honors, where the “Red Solo Cup” singer/songwriter will be given the Special Directors’ Award.

Those who have been inducted into the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's Hall of Fame in years past include George Strait, Bob Wills, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, as well as Burt Reynolds, Sam Elliot, and Kurt Russell.
Toby Keith Passed Away in 2024
A native of Clinton, Oklahoma, Keith passed away on Feb. 5, 2024, following a lengthy and heroic battle with stomach cancer. He was 62. His latest honor follows a series of posthumous awards and accolades, including 2024’s Country Music Hall of Fame induction.
In addition to their inductions, Keith, Rogers, and Harris will each receive a Wrangler Award, a bronze sculpture of a cowboy on horseback created by late Oklahoma artist Harold T. Holden. The 65th annual Western Heritage Awards will be held April 11, 2026, at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
