This is a very quiet, safe neighborhood." He went on to describe the massive search effort that includes drones, helicopters, and search and rescue volunteers casing the mountains and scouring the traditionally peaceful neighborhood.
When asked about the neighborhood's response, Lamie stated that the Sheriff's office has asked residents to check their acre-plus properties, underbrush areas, and provide ring video footage to assist with the search. He called the situation "horrible," and said that "everyone is hoping for Nancy's safe return."
In a public statement on Tuesday, February 3, Pima Sheriff Chris Nanos continued to urge the public to assist with the search efforts by calling in tips or leads to 1-800-CALL-FBI in addition to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office number, 520-351-4900.
