Salesian two-sport star Carlton Perrilliat Jr. has committed to play football at Sacramento State, he announced on Instagram on Wednesday.
Perrilliat chose to stay in Northern California over offers from Colorado State, Cal Poly and Weber State. According to his Instagram account, Perrilliat had basketball offers from Cal Poly and Idaho.
Perrilliat finished the 2025 football season with 49 receptions for 944 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also was a standout on defense, recording three interceptions, four pass deflections and 28 tackles. Across three varsity seasons, Perrilliat helped lead Salesian to a 30-7 record, which included three trips to the North Coast Section playoffs.
He earned two all-Bay Area News Group first-team athlete selections in 2024 and 2025.
On the basketball court, Perrilliat has been a monster for the nationally-ranked Pride. A versatile 6-foot-5 forward, Perrilliat is a perennial double-digit scorer and is often tasked with guarding the opposing team’s best player.

Salesian’s basketball team is one of the favorites to represent NorCal at the Open Division state basketball championship. Perrilliat will look to make his second open state title appearance in the last three seasons.
