Las Vegas native Aiden Longworth will continue his swimming career at West Chester University, a Division II program, this fall. Longworth, a backstroke specialist who also shows strength in freestyle, is a senior at Palo Verde High School and trains with the Sandpipers of Nevada.

Longworth was a finalist at the 2025 NIAA Class 5A Southern Region Championships (SCY) in May, placing 3rd in the 100 back (51.89) and 4th in the 100 free (48.28). He also helped Palo Verde’s 400 free relay finish 2nd with a split of 48.34 and the 200 free relay place 3rd with a split of 21.99.
Longworth posted several personal best times at the 2025 Speedo Sectionals in Walnut (SCY) in December. He reached the finals in four events, placing 14th in both the 100 back (51.35) and 200 back (1:52.48), 25th in the 50 back (24.34), and 37th in the 1650 free (16:39.65). He also recorded a lifetime best of 47.98 in the 100 free as the leadoff for Sandpipers of Nevada’s 400 free relay, which placed 4th. His opening 50 split of 23.03 in the 100 was also under his official 50 free PB of 23.93.
The week before, at the CA TYR Las Vegas Super Final (SCY), Longworth recorded lifetime bests in the 100 fly (54.71) and 500 free (4:45.91), with both times altitude adjusted. He finished 3rd in the 500 free and 8th in the 100 fly (56.52).

Last season marked the Rams’ 26th PSAC title in 27 years, with the only exception coming during the COVID-19 pandemic when they did not compete. Two swimmers from the men’s team also qualified for the 2025 Division II Men’s Swimming and Diving National Championships.
Longworth has the potential to contribute to the team, as his 100 back and 200 back times would have been fast enough to qualify him for the ‘A’ final at the 2025 conference championship.
Longworth will join the Rams in the fall of 2026 alongside RJ Duffy, William Rees, Austin Fastrich, and Kai Boyer. Rees is also a backstroker with a 52.22 in the 100 and a 1:51.67 in the 200.
