The Chicago Bulls have swung a trade for a pair of guards, reportedly acquiring Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the guards will come to Chicago as part of a three-team deal involving the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Pistons will acquire Kevin Huerter from the Bulls and Dario Saric from the Timberwolves, and the Pistons will also get a protected first-round pick swap with Minnesota according to the report.
According to multiple reports, the Timberwolves are in hot pursuit of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the deal will help to clear roster space and salary cap space if they can somehow swing that deal, with several other teams potentially interested in his services.
Huerter has appeared in 44 games for the Bulls, averaging 10.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
Ivey has played in 33 games for the Pistons, averaging 8.2 points per game. He’s averaged 37.2% on three-pointers this season and a 45% field goal percentage.
Conley has appeared in 44 games for the Timberwolves, 4.4 points and 2.9 assists per game off the bench.
The Bulls will next be in action on Tuesday night as they take on the Bucks in Milwaukee, with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
