Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday announced the new appointments to key organisational posts at the district level.
As per an office order issued by the BJD, Byomkesh Ray has been appointed as District President of Bhadrak.
Purna Chandra Swain and Bhagaban Gantayat have been named Working Presidents of Ganjam district.
P. Gouri Shankar has been appointed Working President of Rayagada, while Raisen Murmu will serve as Working President of Mayurbhanj-2.
The appointments, approved by BJD President Naveen Patnaik, will come into force with immediate effect, the party said.
The organisational reshuffle is aimed at strengthening the party structure at the district level, it added.
