McDonald’s All American Games coming to Glendale in March

The annual McDonald’s All American Games that showcase the top high school basketball players in the country are coming to Arizona for the first time next month.

The event will take place on March 31 at Glendale’s Desert Diamond Arena, formerly known as Gila River Arena.

    A committee of analysts, prep scouts, media and coaches selected 24 boys and 24 girls from around the country to participate.

    Forward Cameron Williams will represent Phoenix St. Mary’s Catholic High School before he heads to Duke. He is the No. 2 recruit in the 2026 class, according to ESPN.

    Tyran Stokes, the No. 1 overall recruit for the 2026 class, will also participate.

    This is the 49th iteration of the McDonald’s All American Games. The games change locations each year, with the last three having been played in Brooklyn (2025), Houston (2024) and Chicago (2023).

    The McDonald’s All American Game has hosted future Hall of Famers Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Jason Kidd, Shaquille O’Neale and Kobe Bryant, as well as eventual Phoenix Suns stars Amar’e Stoudemire and Devin Booker.

    The girls game will start at 4 p.m. MST and the boys game at 6 p.m. Both will air on ESPN.

    The Sprite Jam Fest with various skills competitions will occur on March 30 at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
