Man Arrested for 2025 Murder After Prints Were Found on Ramen Package

A man has been arrested for a 2025 murder he allegedly committed, after being linked to the crime two months after it happened when his fingerprints were found on a package of Ramen noodles.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that the initial shooting took place on November 25, 2025, at 4:45 p.m. in the 4000 block of Sullivan Avenue, according to Fox 2 Now.

Victim Damian Webb was standing on the sidewalk of Bishop L. Scott Avenue when he was shot. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced that Webb was dead from his injuries at 5:25 p.m. He was 46 years old.

Following Webb’s death, the SLMPD launched an investigation into who was behind the shooting. A probable cause statement explained that investigators relied on social media and Webb’s cell phone records to identify a suspect, according to Fox 2 Now.

Investigators found text messages exchanged between Webb and Marquise L. Porter, which revealed that the two men were going to meet in the area before the shooting took place.

Authorities also reviewed surveillance footage from a nearby convenience store, which showed Webb by himself as he bought groceries shortly before his death. As police searched the grocery store, they found a package of Ramen noodles that was near Webb’s body. Police inspected the Ramen noodles package and found Porter’s fingerprints on it.

Porter, 19, was then arrested in connection to Webb’s death, with authorities saying he admitted to shooting the victim.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office said that Porter has since been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action, according to online records viewed by Us Weekly. He was taken into custody on Thursday, January 29, and currently remains behind bars without bond.

It is not currently clear if Porter has entered a plea or retained legal representation. A court date has not yet been announced as of the time of publication.

Authorities have also not shared how Porter and Webb knew each other or if they suspect had a motive for the killing. The flavor of Ramen was also undisclosed.
