Donald Trumpis threatening to sue Trevor Noahafter the comedian made a joke at the Grammys linking the president to Jeffrey Epstein's private island.
Noah hosted the 68th Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 1, for the sixth time and while speaking of the Song of the Year Award he joked, "That is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton."
On Friday, Dec. 30, The Department of Justice released additional documents from the Epstein files which included mentions of public figures such as President Trump, Bill Clinton, and Elon Musk.
Responding to Noah, Trump denied ever being on Epstein's private island where sex trafficking crimes allegedly took place.
"Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island," the President wrote on Truth Social. "WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media."
Trump continued to slam Noah writing, “CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards. Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast."
The President then threatened to take legal action against the comedian for his comments at the Grammys.
"It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!" Trump said.
A number of photographs released by the House Oversight Committee in December 2025 featured Trump with a group of anonymous women. Trump has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
Following the release of the photos, White House spokesperson, Abigail Jackson, told People, "once again, House Democrats are selectively releasing cherry-picked photos with random redactions to try and create a false narrative."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked and the Trump Administration has done more for Epstein’s victims than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for transparency, releasing thousands of pages of documents, and calling for further investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends," Jackson said. "It’s time for the media to stop regurgitating Democrat talking points and start asking Democrats why they wanted to hang around Epstein after he was convicted."
