Hayley Williams didn't win a single Grammy this year, but she didn't seem too mad about it.
Williams, 37, and her critically-acclaimed solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, were nominated for a handful of awards at the Feb. 1 event: Best Rock Performance ("Mirtazapine"), Best Rock Song ("Glum"), Best Alternative Music Performance ("Parachute") and Best Alternative Music Album.
Yet, she ended Sunday night empty-handed. Yungblud's performance of "Changes" from Back to the Beginning claimed Best Rock Performance. Nine Inch Nails' "As Alive as You Need Me to Be" won Best Rock Song. And The Cure won their first Grammy awards ever, taking Best Alt Music Performance for "Alone" and Best Alt Music Album for Songs of a Lost World.
Williams took the shut-out in stride. In a message posted to her @HWHQ Instagram, Williams stood next to her creative partners, Daniel James and Steph Marziano, holding the amount of trophies they won that night (i.e. none)
"We'd like to take the academy," she jokes. "And it's an honor to lose to The Cure anytime. Love, Hayley Williams, Daniel James and Steph Marziano."
View this post on InstagramWilliams' fans consoled her with comments. "Album of the year in our hearts," wrote the official AltPress account. "Hayley, Daniel and the entire team should be so proud," said @theparamorefamily. "Biggest snub of the year," wrote one dejected fan. "The people's winners! Thank you for making such important art and shifting the culture!" added another.
Last year marked the 20th anniversary of All We Know Is Falling, the debut album from Williams' seminal punk band, Paramore. Williams co-founded the group in 2004 with brothers Zac and Josh Farro and Jeremy Davis. Since 2017, the lineup has included Williams, Zac Farro, and Taylor York (who joined in 2007).
Williams self-released her third solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, in August 2025. It reached No. 12 on the Billboard 200 album charts and No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart. Williams' LP earned wide-spread critical acclaim, with Billboard, Paste, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, and NME all listing it among their Best Albums of 2025.

Williams also had reason to celebrate on Sunday: Turnstile won their first two Grammy Awards. The punk band won the Best Rock Album for 2025's NEVER ENOUGH. Their song, "BIRDS," also won the Best Metal Performance. The group's song, "SEEIN' STARS," was also nominated for Best Alternative Music Performance, making them the first band to be consecutively nominated in rock, alternative and metal categories.
Hayley provided backing vocals to "SEEIN' STARS." And after the album's release, she posted a message online about how Turnstile "represents so much just by showing up exactly as they are, which is probably why all kinds of [people] can belong at their show. They are my Fugazi, and they're also my friends. [Thanks] for inspiration!"
