Anthrax is celebrating a memorable moment following Yungblud’s win at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

The thrash metal band marks the singer, songwriter and musician’s first-ever Grammy win for Best Rock Performance following his powerful live cover of Black Sabbath’s "Changes."

In an Instagram post, Anthrax not only highlighted the monumental moment for Yungblud but also shared their excitement at being part of the tribute.

Calling the “Abyss” singer a “Grammy Winner,” the band congratulated Yungblud, Frank Bello, Nuno Bettencourt, Adam Wakeman and Sleeptoken’s II.

Moreover, they expressed how meaningful it was to be part of the special tribute to the “Godfather of Heavy Metal.”

“MASSIVE congrats to @thefrankbello, @yungblud , @nunobettencourtofficial, and @adamwakeman1 & @ii_sleeptoken on winning a Grammy for Best Rock Performance! An incredible honor to be part of a tribute to the one and only @ozzyosbourne, a true original, a pioneer, and an unmatchable force in rock history. In the name of Black Sabbath // In the name of Ozzy Osbourne,” the caption reads.

The comment section was filled with congratulatory messages not only for the “I Think I'm Okay” hitmaker but also for Bello.

“Congrats @thefrankbello can't wait for new Anthrax songs,” one wrote.

“Go on Frank and the rest of you guys ... Ozzy forever,” a follower added.

“Yes! Congratulations! Well deserved,” another echoed.

A fan also recalled the live performance, noting, “I was in the Back To The Beginning show and could see Frank Bello, Nuno Bettencourt, Adam Wakeman and Yungblud play this beautiful song. I love you guys! Anthrax, I will see you again at the Resurrection Fest, Spain 2026.”

The award-winning performance took place during the singer’s emotional tribute set as part of Ozzy Osbourne's final concert, Back To The Beginning, in July.

As mentioned, he delivered his rendition of “Changes” with notable musicians, including Frank Bello, the bassist of Anthrax, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, II from Sleep Token on drums, and Adam Wakeman, longtime keyboardist and rhythm guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne's band.

To accept the recognition, Yungblud was joined by the late music icon’s widow, Sharon Osbourne, and the all-star supergroup who reunited onstage.

During his acceptance speech, the 28-year-old artist admitted he was completely surprised by the win and overwhelmed to be on stage.

Despite this, he expressed his deep gratitude to the supporters and dedicated his first Grammy win to the former Black Sabbath frontman, whom he called his “idol.”

"To grow up loving an idol who helps figure out your identity, not only as a musician but as a man, is something I'm truly grateful for," he added. "But then to form a relationship with them and honor them at their final show…we're finding it so strange to comprehend."
