January 30, 2026 Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training, Ocala, FL SCY (25 yards) Results Final Scores Women: Florida 186, Florida St. 110 Men: Florida 202, Florida St. 93After notably falling to the Seminoles in a neutral site dual meet a year ago, the Gators bounced back this season with a dominant sweep of the Seminoles in Ocala. The dual also featured swims from the Gators’ pro group as exhibition swimmers. The Florida women won 186-110, and the Gator men overpowered Florida State 202-93.
Women’s Recap
The swimming events opened with a hard fought win for the Gator women in the 200 medley relay, touching just four tenths better than Florida State in 1:36.61. Catie Choate (24.32), Anita Bottazzo (26.48), Beatriz Bezerra (23.52), and Lainy Kruger (22.29) combined to lead the way for Florida’s meet opening win.
Sophomore Michaela Mattes comfortably controlled the 1650 free for Florida, touching nearly 20 seconds better than the field in 16:07.73.
Bottazzo logged the only sub-1:00 time of the meet in the 100 breast, touching in 58.32, more than two seconds faster than her teammate Anna Moore who swam a lifetime best in 1:00.65. Bottazzo later claimed the 200 breast as well in a winning effort of 2:10.33.
Florida sophomore Addison Reese powered to a three second victory in the 200 butterfly, clocking 1:56.40.
The diving was dominated by Florida’s Camyla Monroy; the junior finished with the top score on both 1-meter (316.50) and 3-meter (369.00) for the Gators.
Kruger clocked the only 100 free time under 50-seconds to earn the event win in 49.14.
Florida’s Zuri Ferguson dominated the 200 back, touching nearly two and a half seconds faster than the field in 1:56.18.
Camille DeBoer led the tight 1-2-3 sweep for Florida in the 500 free, touching first in 4:49.31, Jojo Ramey 2nd in 4:51.86, and Sylvia Statkevicius 3rd in 4:51.96.
Grace Rabb continued Florida’s strong showing with a near two-second win in the 100 fly, touching in 53.07, ahead of four Seminoles.
Sofia Plaza closed out the day for the Gators individually with a win in the 400 IM following a Mattes DQ, finishing in 4:15.35.
The Gators bookend the day with relay wins with Bezerra (22.78), Nottazzo (22.23), Statkevicius (22.97), and Kruger (22.64) winning the 200 free relay in 1:30.62 to cap off a victorious day in Ocala.
Seminole freshman Ioana Stirbu led the way in the 200 free, touching a near second and a half better than the field in 1:47.19.
Florida State sophomore Alice Velden battled with Florida’s Aspen Gersper (53.47) and Zuri Ferguson (53.74) for the 100 back win, touching the wall first in 53.34.
Sophomore Maryn McDade took home a win for the Seminoles in the 50 free, touching just ahead of Florida’s Lainey Kruger (22.93) in 22.66.
Men’s Recap
The Florida quartet of Jonny Marshall (21.50), Koen de Groot (23.63), Scotty Buff (20.08), and Josh Liendo (18.17) flexed their power by leading a 1-2 finish in the 200 medley relay, clocking a winning 1:23.38.
Ahmed Jaouadi continued his impressive first season for the Gators with another win in the 1650 free, touching in 14:39.75. Shortly after, Jaouadi added the 200 free to his win total, touching a second ahead of his teammate Eric Brown, who swam a lifetime best in 1:36.06, to win in 1:35.05. Jaouadi earned his 3rd individual win of the day with a 500 free victory in 4:16.00. That 500 free was also notable as it was the debut of fellow Tunisian star Ahmed Hafnaoui, who competed in the 500 free as an exhibition swimmer, stopping the clock in 4:23.90, which would have finished 2nd overall.
Marshall came off the 200 medley relay win with momentum that he carried to the 100 back, leading a Gator 1-2-3 sweep in 46.04.
Liendo showed a different kind of dominance, this time in the 200 fly, winning the event by over two seconds in 1:40.12. He later completed the sweep of the fly events with his winning time of 45.28, ahead of four Seminoles who finished 2-5.
The Gators also led the way on the boards, with freshman Jesus Agundez Mora winning the 1-meter event in 394.50 and junior Conor Gesing winning the 3-meter in 407.48.
Alex Painter led a 1-2-3 sweep for Florida in the 50 free, stopping the clock in 19.49.
Florida’s Aiden Norman controlled the 200 back, touching three seconds ahead of Marshall to secure another win for Florida in 1:40.99.
Aleksas Savickas claimed the 200 breast win for the Gators in 1:56.98.
Florida’s Gio Linscheer notched a season-best time en route to a win in the 400 IM, less than a second better than Florida State’s Mathias Christensen (3:46.73), to win in 3:45.95.
Dilger (19.74), Painter (19.05), Lendo (18.55), and Buff (19.29) put the finishing touches on a winning day for the Gator men in 1:16.63.
Florida State’s senior Marcos Egri-Martin was the top performer in the 100 breast, swimming his fastest time of the season in 53.40, ahead of the Florida tandem of Aleksas Savickas (53.64) and de Groot (54.25).
Florida State’s Logan Robinson charged to a lifetime best in the 100 free to nab the win in 43.30, nearly half a second faster than Paul Dardis of Florida (43.78).
Pro Group Results
Katie Ledecky swam the 500 free, representing Gator Swim Club, where she turned in the 11th fastest time in history in 4:27.72. Ledecky now owns 10 of the 11 fastest swims in history, including the top eight performances ever in the 500 free.
Emma Weyant also raced the 200 fly for Gator Swim Club, touching in 1:59.65. That time sits less than a second off of her best ever time of 1:58.87 from Florida’s 2024 dual against South Carolina.
Kieran Smith got in on the racing action, clocking 1:32.65 in the 200 free. His fastest since March of 2025, when he touched in 1:32.02 at the CT Senior Championships.
Bobby Finke rounded out the pro group with his performance in the 400 IM, where he stopped the clock in 3:44.76, just over two seconds slower than his time trial from this time last year, where he touched in 3:42.72.
