Dave Grohl turned heads on the red carpet when he arrived with his wife of over 20 years, Jordyn Blum. But it was his performance with Foo Fighters and special guest, Taylor Momsen, that has fans really talking.
While on hand for the 2026 MusiCares Person of the Year event honoring Mariah Carey at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Jan. 30, 2026, Foo Fighters took the stage with Momsen to perform a pair of songs from Carey's unreleased '90s grunge album, Someone's Ugly Daughter.
The album, which was initially released in 1995 by Chick and featuring lead vocals from Clariss Dane, was actually written, produced, and even sung secretly by Carey.
Though the released version doesn't feature any of Carey's vocals, in her 2020 memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey, she revealed that there is a secret, unreleased version of the album out there that she sang on.

So it's only fitting that one of the biggest grunge bands of the '90s would honor Carey at the event by performing her unreleased grunge songs "Hermit" and "Love Is A Scam" alongside singer, songwriter, model, and former actress, Momsen.

The MusiCares performance also served as Foo Fighters' guitarist Pat Smear's return to the stage after breaking his foot. Smear is a known Mariah Carey superfan, so it's no surprise he was ready to play when the band took the stage.

Before hitting the stage with Momsen or posing with her on the red carpet at the MusiCares event, the Foo Fighters frontman made his way past the snapping cameras with his wife.
This marks their first red carpet appearance together in 2026 and one of only a handful of public appearances since Grohl went public in September 2024, admitting to fathering a child outside of his marriage.
