Fans of the iconic rock band Foreigner received some exciting news this past week.
In an Instagram post shared by Lou Gramm on Wednesday, he revealed that he is honoring his former band, Foreigner, for two special orchestral shows at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas on March 6 and 7.
The orchestra concerts will be conducted by Juilliard cello virtuoso Dave Eggar, who has performed, recorded and arranged for Coldplay, Paul Simon, Amy Winehouse, Beyonce and more, with his arranging partner, Chuck Palmer. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans allows them to experience Foreigner's popular hits being played by a 20-piece orchestra. Songs that they are expected to be played include "Hot Blooded," "Feels Like the First Time," "Waiting for a Girl Like You," "Cold as Ice" and many more.
"? LAS VEGAS — WE’RE GOING BIG! ?," Gramm wrote in his caption. "This orchestral version of Foreigner four and all of your classic hits is sure to be a night to remember."

Packages include meeting the singer in person, as well as a photo with him and a signed copy of his book Juke Box Hero. Formed in 1976 in New York City by Gramm, Mick Jones, Ed Gagliardi, Dennis Elliott, Al Greenwood and Ian McDonald, Foreigner has become one of the best-selling rock bands. They released their self-titled debut album a year after their formation, which produced the songs "Feels Like the First Time" and "Cold Ice." The group's second album, Double Vision, was also successful and included their hits "Hot Blooded" and the title track.
Since their formation, the group has released nine studio albums, with their most recent being Can't Slow Down in 2009. Foreigner has also experienced many lineup changes over the past five decades, which included Gramm, who left in 2003.
"[Jones is] the founder of the band, he's the leader of the band, but he wasn't necessarily doing the job the way he used to do it, and he was suppressing a lot of my creativity,” Gramm admitted on SiriusXM's Classic Rewind back in November 2024. "After contributing to just about every hit song that the band had released in 20-some years, to be reduced to just a non-creative part, just the singer, didn't sit well with me."
Foreigner's current lineup includes Jones, Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein, Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier, Luis Maldonado and John Roth.

Despite leaving the group 23 years ago, the 75-year-old singer has joined the band on select shows over the past year. Gramm revealed last fall that he has plans to retire this year, but will be putting out his first solo album in 17 years, titled Released, which includes songs he wrote back in the 1980s. The lead single, "Young Love," is out now.
