Rochester Police say on Jan. 14, they found a 17-year-old on Hollenbeck Street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was brought to Strong Memorial Hospital, where it was determined his serious injuries were non-life threatening.
Preliminary investigations found the victim was at the house of a female acquaintance when the suspect entered the house and shot him multiple times before fleeing, according to police.
On Wednesday, police say they learned the suspect was in a ride-share car on the west side of Rochester. They say officers found the car in the area of Mount Read Boulevard and Jay Street, where they stopped the car and took the suspect into custody.
The 17-year-old girl was charged with attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned and brought to the Children’s Detention Center.
