Rosanne Cash is breaking her silence regarding recent events involving ICE's presence in Minneapolis.
The eldest daughter of music icon Johnny Cash spoke out in a solemn video message posted to Instagram on Wednesday, Jan. 28, where she called for the defunding of ICE.

The video, taken in the Nashville airport, began with Cash talking about the recent ice storm that swept through the Tennessee capital, calling the situation a "total disaster."
She then pointed out that the Department of Homeland Security is supposed to be responsible for providing federal disaster relief, before claiming that the agency is "too busy shooting private citizens and deporting five-year-olds."
Going on to further condemn DHS and ICE, Cash called the recent actions of ICE agents "unspeakable," and "a sign of a country that's falling apart."
"I know I haven't said much lately, 'cause I haven't known what to say," Cash, 70, admitted to her followers. "This isn't the country I was born in or that my ancestors have been here for since the 17th century. I never thought I'd see this."

In her caption of her post, which Cash cleverly introduced as "ice. and ICE," the singer wrote, "If you still support this administration, there is a way to unfollow me. Please act on your God-given right to do that."
"We occupy different tribes and there’s nothing of interest for you on my page. And if you think I should ‘shut up and sing’ because I’m 'not relevant,' I will quote @tommorello: 'I didn’t give up my First Amendment rights when I picked up my guitar.'"
