San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner’s opinion of the Arizona Cardinals is far from glowing.
Debating on which division was better between the NFC West and NFC North while on the St. Brown Podcast with Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, Warner didn’t beat around the bush when describing the current state of the Cardinals.
Fred Warner was asked if the NFC West is the best division in football:
“Oh yeah easily. That’s not even a question.”
Amon-Ra St. Brown: “What about the Cardinals?”

Warner’s comments on Arizona come after the Cardinals finished 3-14 last season, a full nine games back of the 49ers, who took third place, in the NFC West. The lost season resulted in the firing of head coach Jonathan Gannon after three years on the job. Arizona is currently in the middle of a head-coaching search.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams and 49ers were all at one point vying for the No. 1 seed in the NFC before Seattle ended up taking the top spot.
The Rams and 49ers made some noise in the playoffs, too, with San Francisco making the divisional round and the Rams earning a conference championship berth. Both, however, were taken down by the Seahawks, who are now prepping for Super Bowl LX and the New England Patriots.
