Lou Gramm released something new.
On New Year's Eve, the original lead singer of Foreigner revealed that he was releasing his new album, Released, his first solo project in nearly 20 years. The record is set to include 10 new songs he created in the 1980s and is scheduled to arrive on March 27 on digital streaming platforms, CD and vinyl. The lead single, "Young Love," is out now.
"It’s a soaring rock anthem that showcases my earlier solo work and the sound I’ve always loved creating," Gramm wrote in his Instagram caption. "I hope you like the pure rock sound of this song and can’t wait for you to hear more."

Produced by Gramm and mixed by Sam Polizzi, "Young Love" features Vivian Campbell from Def Leppard on guitar and Michael Lasaponara on drums. In addition, Released was co-written by Gramm and his former Black Sheep bandmate Bruce Turgon, and Gramm produced all the tracks himself. Born Louis Andrew Grammatico in Rochester, New York, Gramm co-founded Foreigner alongside guitarist Mick Jones in 1976. Throughout his 50-year career, he has established himself as one of rock's most recognizable voices and propelled the band to global stardom in the 1970s and 1980s. Gramm left Foreigner in early 2003 to pursue a solo career and address some health issues. In October 2025, he announced his retirement from touring, but is still releasing one more album for his fans and will be going on a promotional tour this summer. Released will be Gramm's third solo album.
"My new album Released is a collection of unreleased songs that were recorded in the 1980s during the production of my three previous solo albums. These are powerful, heartfelt songs with a great vintage sound taken right from my old multitrack tapes," Gramm said in a statement. "This new album was a long time coming and it's a real nostalgia trip. When I pulled these songs out of the vault, I knew I had to finish them for my fans around the world, so they can experience what I did when I first heard them after all these years. It means a lot to me to finally see this album released, to be taken back in time when I hear this music again, to remember working with all these great musicians, and to feel that my catalog is now complete."
