“We’re absolutely delighted to have been invited, but it is certainly in unique and challenging circumstances,” Lindblade told BBC Stumped. “We’re all confident at the moment we can get everybody out there.”

Lindblade said the ICC has offered assurances within its remit and is working closely with the BCCI and local authorities to smooth the process. Lindblade admitted the turnaround is tight. “We’ve got seven days to turn around a sponsor. If we’ve got kits, that’s a bonus. If not, you might see us in our regular Cricket Scotland playing kits,” she said.
Scotland have inherited Bangladesh’s original itinerary and will be based in Bengaluru initially. They are scheduled to play warm-up matches against Afghanistan and Namibia on February 2 and 4 at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Singahalli before opening their Group B campaign against the West Indies at Eden Gardens on February 7. England, Italy and Nepal are the other teams in their group.
