A Florida teen is in some hot water after she allegedly assaulted her own mother with a juicy pork chop, Us Weekly has confirmed.
Online arrest records confirm the allegations lodged against Farrah Kernan.
The 18-year-old was arrested by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, January 22. According to an arrest affidavit, Farrah’s mother, Cynthia Kernan, had called 911 for help and later told officers her daughter had been drinking during the day. This, Cynthia alleged, eventually led to a verbal disagreement between mother and daughter.
“Cynthia stated that during the argument, Farrah smacked her in the face with her right hand,” it is stated in the affidavit. “Cynthia advised she had video footage of the incident.” Police reviewed the footage, which was shot by one of Cynthia’s friends, and it showed the teen smacking her mother, and Cynthia recoiling backwards.

It was unclear if she had retained a defense attorney, and records show she has not been asked yet for a plea to the charge against her.
Us Weekly called the sheriff’s office to see if they had ever responded to prior calls from the home but did not get a response.
The affidavit does not mention if Cynthia sustained any types of injuries in the attack.
Under Florida law, domestic battery is defined as an intentional and unconsented touching or striking of another person when such person is a “family or household member,” which can include “wives and husbands; ex-wives and ex-husbands; individuals related by blood or marriage; individuals living together as a family; individuals who have resided together as if a family in the past; and persons who have a child in common (regardless of prior marriage).”
If Farrah is found guilty of this first -degree misdemeanor by jurors, she could be sent to prison for up to a year. She also faces a possible $1,000 fine, according to online legal statutes.

A judge could also ask her to complete a 26-week Batterer’s Intervention Program and place her on probation for 12 months after her release.
