As Foreigner enters its milestone 50th anniversary year, the band is giving fans a new way to step inside life on the road.
The classic rock hitmakers have launched The Urgent Update, a new monthly online fan experience designed to offer behind-the-scenes access, exclusive updates, and direct Q&A with the band. The announcement was shared on social media alongside a video message from lead singer and guitarist Luis Maldonado, who invited fans to join what he described as an “inner circle” for everything happening onstage, backstage, and everywhere in between.
In the video, Maldonado explains that fans who sign up will not only receive exclusive stories and tour updates but will also have the chance to submit questions to the band, with select fan Q&As featured in future editions of the newsletter. “When you sign up, you’ll also get a chance to ask us questions,” he says, adding that answers will be shared directly with subscribers.

The debut edition includes Maldonado answering six fan questions from the road and an invitation to an upcoming YouTube Premiere—a never-before-seen live performance of the band’s hit “Urgent.”
The video, titled Foreigner – Urgent (Live in Halifax 2025), is set to premiere on February 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Filmed at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the performance captures the band live onstage during its 2025 tour. Maldonado is also scheduled to join fans in the live chat during the premiere, adding another interactive element to the new fan experience.

The new fan experience arrives as Foreigner embarks on a wide-ranging 50th anniversary tour, marking five decades since the group’s first rehearsal in 1976. The milestone celebration includes acoustic shows, orchestral performances, international dates, and a major U.S. touring slate, with select stops featuring a reunion with founding lead singer Lou Gramm.
