Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire are teaming up for an R&B and soul throwback tour with two stops in Southern California this summer.
The Sing A Song All Night tour will stop at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on Saturday, Aug. 8 and at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood on Sunday, Aug. 9.
Tickets will be available during a Citi presale starting Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. Cardmembers will have access until 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29. Additional presales will run throughout the week, leading up to the general on-sale beginning Friday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. Richie has been one of the most prolific artists in R&B and soul, kicking off his career as the frontman of the funky R&B group The Commodores before going solo. He’s since sold over 125 million albums worldwide and earned an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and four Grammy Awards.
In 2022, he was both inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and received the 2022 American Music Awards Icon Award, his 18th AMA award. That same year, he received the 2022 Gershwin Prize for Popular Song by the Library of Congress. Most recently, Richie offered an intimate and candid reflection on his journey through music, fame, and personal transformation in his New York Times bestselling memoir “Truly,” released on Sept. 30, 2025.
The tour featuring Earth, Wind & Fire is a perfect addition, as another musical force that has influenced generations. In 1969, music legend Maurice White created the group named after the elements from his very own astrological charts. They’ve scored eight number one hits and have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, released 23 albums, eight of which went Double Platinum and hit the Top 10, making them one of the best-selling artists of all time. Over their career, they’ve won nine Grammy Awards, including one for Lifetime Achievement in 2012.
In 2000, Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2019, their contributions to the arts and culture were acknowledged in Washington, DC, with the Kennedy Center Honors. Questlove is set to release a documentary of the group later this year that will explore the group’s “profound cultural impact, musical legacy, and the ‘Soul, Self & Struggle’ behind their iconic sound, with the full support of the band and Maurice White’s estate, promising deep archival access and personal stories.”
