Valentine’s Day is so big in Temecula Valley Wine Country that it calls February the “month of romance.”
There are nearly 50 wineries in the rolling hills of southwest Riverside County, many with hotels and restaurants that will be set up to serve multi-course dinners with filet mignon, salmon and chocolate desserts. Several will have dining, dancing and musicians as well. Some events are already selling out.
Valentine’s Day falls on Saturday, Feb. 14, this year, when most of the festivities will take place. But some wineries are spreading out their celebrations.
Galentine’s Day is coming into its own with events that include shopping and dressing up. Feb. 13 is the traditional day for female bonding, but in wine country events can be found throughout the first half of the month.
Here are some events that wineries have announced on their websites or in social media. Prices included here are usually per person and don’t include taxes, fees or tips. Most wineries offer memberships, and club members can often get discounts.
Some but not all websites list full Valentine’s Day menus.
