The Fray will be heading out on the road this summer.
On Monday, Jan. 26, the beloved 2000s alt-rock band delighted their fans while announcing a new North American tour to coincide with their upcoming brand-new album, A Light That Waits.

The Fray's Summer of Light Tour will also feature a number of special guests at select dates, with appearances from Dashboard Confessional, Colony House, The Strumbellas and Brother Elsey.
The tour will kick off with a number of Canadian dates scheduled throughout the month of May, before opening the U.S. leg in July with a show in Indianapolis, Ind.
Throughout July and August, the group will perform in over 20 U.S. cities, including Kansas City, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Cleveland, Boston, Detroit, Chicago and more.

The band—made up of Joe King (lead vocals), Ben Wysocki (drums) and Dave Welsh (guitar)—announced the exciting tour news in an Instagram post on Monday, while also sharing the official release date for their upcoming fifth studio album, A Light That Waits, dropping on March 13.
"Finally!" one fan gushed under Monday's announcement, while more fans said they already "can't wait" for the new music and accompanying tour.
"This is my dream tour come true," one user wrote. Another added, "That lineup is ?"
One hyped up fan chimed in to say, "Aaahhhh THE FRAY AND DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, I think I might pass away."

"Getting these new songs in front of people is going to be exciting," he added.
Ahead of their new album, the band already dropped the record's title track on Friday, Jan. 23. With 11 tracks in total, the new album includes the band's 2025 releases, "Emerald," "My Heart's A Crowded Room" and "Songs I'd Rather Not Sing," plus several more brand-new songs.
"We could have hung it up, and I think we all contemplated that, but we have more stories about life to tell," said Welsh, who, along with Wysocki and King, is one of the original members of the band formed around 2002. Their original lead singer Isaac Slade stepped away from the group in 2022, with King stepping up to fill the role.
Tickets for The Fray's Summer of LightTour will be available in a number of exclusive early-access presales in the days leading up to the general onsale on Friday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. local time.
