In her post, which was captioned, "I can't sit on the sidelines," Close read aloud a written statement to express her opinion on recent events throughout the country.
She stated, "I am outraged and sickened by what is happening under the Trump regime: the cruelty, inhumanity and arrogance. The veracious corruption. The cowardice. The sickening hypocrisy. The blatant manipulation of facts. And now, the cold-blooded murder of American citizens."

"It is waking up and taking note," she added, and that's when she looked into the camera and said, "Mark my words: There will be hell to pay."
