While visiting Abe Carver (James Reynolds), Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) warns his friend, “But it looks like the man that you are tutoring may have helped kidnap your son.”
On-screen, Abe’s son Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) was recently kidnapped by his adopted half-uncle Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier). During the abduction, Theo was knocked unconscious and only regained consciousness recently. While being held in the DiMera crypt, dialogue suggested that Peter was not acting alone and that the kidnapped DiMera family members were being monitored by multiple guards.
While much about Liam remains a mystery, the show has shared fragments of his troubled past. Liam was raised by parents who were frequently in and out of jail, he struggled both at home and in school, eventually falling on the wrong side of the tracks. He never learned how to read, a hardship that followed him into adulthood.
It was revealed that while attending Salem High School, Liam bullied Theo, with Theo explaining to his father that Liam made his life miserable. Now, as a part of his release conditions from jail, Liam is required to attend tutoring sessions with Abe in order to learn how to read.
Liam is also the father of a young son, Gage. In a recent episode, he brought the boy to the Dr. Tom Horton Free Clinic, where Dr. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) examined him. During the visit, Sarah noticed that Liam had injured his hand and appeared to be suffering from a possible knife wound. When questioned, Liam deflected and redirected attention back to his son.
