“I arrived back home in Australia to the news that my hometown hosted a Robert Irwin lookalike competition,” he says in the clip. “And I went, ‘Hang on a minute, this guy really does look like me.’”
So Irwin did what most people probably would not: he invited Marshall to Australia Zoo to put the resemblance to the test.
When the two finally met, Irwin could barely hide his amazement. “Holy moly! This actually is kind of weird, man,” he laughed. “Dude, there’s two of us now.”
