Earlier this month, the larger Greeley high school renewed rivalries, as Greeley Central, Greeley West and Northridge took turns facing off against each other on the basketball court in heated boys and girls games.
The Wildcats and Grizzlies, belonging to the same conference, will match up again Feb. 13 in Greeley Central’s home venue, Jim Baggot Gymnasium.
But for the time being, the overall winner of these head-to-head matchups is clear.
Greeley Central went 3-1. Northridge went 2-2, with a pair of wins by its girls team. Greeley West went 1-3 with a sole win by its boys team over Northridge.
And in the last 10 meetings between each of these schools on the hardwood, the Wildcats maintain a similar edge.

Speaking of rivalries
The month of January is often full of intriguing local rivalry games on the hardwood.
