Queensrÿche is back on the road with a new 2026 tour. The announcement came January 21 via the band's Instagram. The iconic '80s band will play 17 shows throughout Europe alongside special guest Rivers of Nihil, a popular 2010s death metal band.
Queensrÿche was formed in 1980 by guitarists Michael Wilton and Chris DeGarmo, drummer Scott Rockenfield and bassist Eddie Jackson. In 1981, they recruited vocalist Geoff Tate for a demo project, solidifying the five member lineup. Since then, the band has experienced several lineup changes, with Todd La Torre replacing Geoff on vocals and Casey Grillo stepping in for Rockenfeild following his departure in 2017.
Throughout the band's career, they have released 16 studio albums, achieving significant commercial success and recognition as pioneering figures in the progressive metal genre. In addition to their commercial achievements, Queensrÿche has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and won a MTV Viewers Choice Award in 1991.
