Avan Jogia's just revealed that his upcoming series, 56 Days, has a special connection to one of his past projects.
Ahead of the show's premiere, the actor, 33, took to TikTok to talk about the erotic thriller television series, which he stars in alongside Dove Cameron. The series, based on Catherine Ryan Howard's novel of the same name, chronicles an intense relationship that lasts only 56 days—and ends in murder.
While speaking about the new show, Jogia admitted that while it's not canon, he feels that the 56 Days is a continuation of his short-lived 2013 ABC Family series, Twisted.

"Do you guys remember that show Twisted on ABC Family? I feel like it never gets mentioned," Jogia recalled in the video, adding that people often recognize him from Victorious but he knows there was a passionate fanbase for Twisted too.
The ABC Family series only lasted one season but followed 16-year-old Danny, played by Jogia, as he returned home after five years in juvenile detention. While trying to assimilate into his old life and rekindle his friendships, a classmate is murdered—and Danny becomes the prime suspect.
"Twisted, people really liked that show and they're really curious about the ending of the show. It's a cliffhanger. I have a new show coming out...It's called 56 Days. In my mind, that's what happens after Twisted," Jogia revealed.
Fans quickly shared their thoughts in the comments, expressing how much they wished Twisted got the ending it deserved.
"I STILL THINK ABOUT TWISTED EVERY DAY ohmygod," one commenter wrote, while another added, "Twisted was so good. I was so upset when it got cancelled. It definitely doesn’t get talked about enough. Count me in for watching your new show."
