High school junior Landon Hall from Knoxville, Tennessee, has announced his verbal commitment to Arizona State University for 2027-28. He confirmed in writing to SwimSwam:
“I am so happy to announce my verbal commitment to Arizona State University! I’d just like to thank Jesus Christ for guiding me and always being there for me. I also thank my parents for supporting me along the way, and Coach Chris for pushing me to become the best version of myself. Special thanks to Coach Herbie and Coach Jack for giving me this opportunity. Forks up!! ”
Hall attends Concord Christian School and swims year-round with Atomic City Aquatic Club. We counted him among the best breaststroke recruits on our “Way Too Early” list of top boys’ swimmers from the high school class of 2027.
Hall had a stellar 2025, improving his times in every event across the board, in both SCY and LCM. At the Tennessee Independent School State Championships in February, he placed 3rd in both the 100 breast (PB of 54.81) and 200 IM (PB of 1:49.24). He also went lifetime bests leading off the 200 medley (23.17 backstroke) and 200 free (21.20) relays. A month later, he competed at Speedo Southern Premier and lowered his times in the 100 free (46.32), 200 breast (2:01.66), 100 fly (49.31), and 200 fly (1:47.88).
Most recently, he had a strong showing at Winter Juniors East, where he finaled in the 100 breast (17th), 200 breast (11th), and 200 IM (13th) and clocked PBs in the 100 breast (53.72), 200 breast (1:58.16), 100 fly (48.75), and 200 IM (1:47.37).
He had similar success in long course season, achieving lifetime bests in the 50 breast (29.60), 100 breast (1:05.33), 200 breast (2:24.35), 50 fly (26.25), 100 fly (56.62), 200 fly (2:05.92), and 200 IM (2:10.34) this summer. All but the 100 fly came at Speedo Junior National Championships.

50 breast – 25.61 100 breast – 53.72 200 breast – 1:58.16 200 IM – 1:47.37 100 fly – 48.75 200 fly – 1:47.88Hall will join the Sun Devils in the class of 2031 with Ben Jaggers, Gavin Halusic, Aidan Collins, Harrison Tater, and Thor Johannessen. His times are already fast enough to score in the ‘B’ finals of the 100 breast, 200 breast, and 200 IM at the Big 12 Championships.
