Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore arrived in court for his probable cause hearing with his wife by his side on Thursday, January 22.
Moore’s wife, Kelli Moore, was dressed in all black and wore a blank facial expression as she walked into the 14A-1 District Court in Ann Arbor, Michigan with Sherrone, 39, to her left and his lawyer on the other side, according to video shared via X by Tony Garcia of the Detroit Free Press.
The Free Press also reports that Sherrone had to flash his ankle monitor to security after it set off the metal detector as he entered the courthouse.
Sherrone’s court date comes after his December 10 firing as Wolverines head football coach and subsequent arrest on charges of third-degree felony home invasion and misdemeanor stalking.

“U-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately,” athletic director Warde Manuel announced in a statement at the time. “Following a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior.”
After the university fired Sherrone, he allegedly broke into that staff member’s home and began to threaten her and himself with a knife.

[She] advised that Moore grabbed two knives out of her drawer and pointed them at her, ‘You ruined my life. You ruined my life.’”
Moore then allegedly backed the woman toward the living room, and when she was able to get her attorney on the phone, he “backed up and turned the knives on himself, pointing them at his neck, saying that he was going to kill himself and that she was going to watch.”

Sherrone then fled the apartment and was arrested in a nearby church parking lot. He was released on $25,000 bond and ordered to wear a GPS ankle monitor. He was also forbidden from contacting the staff member.
Kelli and Sherrone married in 2015 and share daughters Shiloh, born in 2019, Solei, born in 2022, and Sadie, born in 2025.
911 audio obtained by TMZ Sports on January 8 revealed that Kelli pleaded with dispatchers to help find her husband in the hours after his firing, fearing he was a danger to himself.

“I’m worried that my husband is going to hurt himself. Can you guys track his phones?” Kelli could be heard saying as a baby cried in the background.

“He just called me and said he got fired from his job. He’s in crisis,” she continued. “I told him that I love him and that I need him to come home. But I don’t know where he is. He said he was at a highway.”
