Denver Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins stacks two straight days
Running back J.K. Dobbins, wide receivers Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant, and center Luke Wattenberg were back on the field for the second consecutive day during Thursday’s practice in Dove Valley.
Dobbins continued to move well during the open media viewing portion of practice. He and Franklin were officially listed as limited participants, while Wattenberg was a full participant for the second consecutive day, and Bryant was a full participant, an upgrade from being limited on Wednesday.
Wattenberg is tracking towards returning to the starting lineup on Sunday as the team hosts the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. His 21-day window opened, and the team will have to officially activate him from injured reserve. To make way for that to happen, the expectation is that the team will place quarterback Bo Nix on injured reserve at some point before Sunday’s game to make way for Wattenberg to return.
If Dobbins were to play on Sunday, the same would have to occur for him, and that would require the team to make a corresponding roster move.
Other than Nix, every single player was accounted for on Thursday during practice.
