Alabama gets commitment from speedy in-state wideout

Alabama got a big-time boost to its wide receiver depth for next season with a commitment from a speed burner from down the road.

Aubrey Walker told Touchdown Alabama on Thursday afternoon that he has committed to the Crimson Tide for the 2026 season. His commitment to Alabama was confirmed by Bama247, with the Moody, Ala., standout choosing to stay in-state and head to Tuscaloosa. Walker will join fellow incoming wide receivers Cederian Morgan and MJ Mathis, giving Bama a nice infusion of talent at the position for next fall.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Walker has been timed at 4.34 seconds in the 40-yard dash, and he showed that speed on the football field, too, averaging 16.9 yards per catch during his senior season at Moody High School.

Walker comes to Alabama with a 3-star rating, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, which put him as the 275th-ranked wide receiver and the 83rd-ranked player from the state of Alabama.

During Walker’s senior season, when he helped lead Moody to its first state championship in program history, he caught 29 passes for 490 yards and 6 touchdowns. Walker also carried the ball 2 times for 18 yards and 1 TD.

Walker’s commitment provides some more depth at a position of need for Alabama in 2026. Germie Bernard, who had a breakout season for the Crimson Tide in 2025, is out of eligibility, and Isaiah Horton transferred to SEC rival Texas A&M.

Right now, the Tide’s wideout room is headlined by Ryan Williams, Rico Scott and Lotzeir Brooks, with Alabama recently adding NC State transfer Noah Rogers.

That room got a lot faster on Thursday with Walker staying home and heading to Tuscaloosa.
