Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi didn’t originally plan to share her latest health update publicly. The Jersey Shore star was going to keep the news to friends and family, until she noticed people on TikTok talking about similar experiences and realized how many women might need to hear it.
In an emotional TikTok, the reality TV queen, 38, opened up about ongoing cervical health issues and urged women not to put off routine gynecological care, even when it’s uncomfortable or scary.
"Stay on top of your appointments because I was not great with that," she said. "It’s not easy being a woman… going through uncomfortable appointments and situations."
Polizzi revealed she’s been dealing with abnormal Pap smear results and precancerous cells on her cervix for several years, calling the experience "very stressful." While she’s been closely monitored, her most recent tests required additional procedures.
"So then I had to do a colposcopy," she shared. "They basically have to take a chunk out of your cervix. You’re awake, by the way. So uncomfortable."
After the biopsy, her doctor delivered news she described as "not great."
"He found cancerous cells on the top of my cervix," Polizzi said, adding that she now needs to undergo a cone biopsy. She explained this is a short procedure done under anesthesia where the affected portion of the cervix is removed.
"I’m terrified," she admitted. "It’s scary, but we have to get it done, because cervical cancer is nothing to joke about."
Polizzi was candid about why she delayed some appointments, acknowledging that fear and stress played a role. Now, she hopes her experience serves as a wake-up call for others.
"If your doctor calls you, do it," she urged. "Prevent all the bad things that could happen."
She also shared that if the upcoming biopsy doesn’t bring the outcome doctors are hoping for, a hysterectomy may be the next step. While she says she’s done having children, the possibility is still emotionally heavy.
"As a woman, the thought of getting a hysterectomy is scary," she said. "But whatever it takes to keep me healthy and safe—and keep me here for the kids that I have now."
Despite the fear, Polizzi reassured fans she’s staying optimistic and wants to create a supportive space for other women—especially moms—going through similar health scares.
"I know I’m going to be fine," she said. "It’s just scary."
Her message is simple but powerful: prioritize your health, even when it’s uncomfortable—and don’t go through it alone.
