The Denver Broncos released their first injury report of the week after Wednesday’s practice, and it’s lengthy when it comes to the number of names on the report, but a majority of players were full participants.
Denver Broncos WRs Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant practice on Wednesday
The wide receiver room was tested in Saturday’s win against the Buffalo Bills after Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant left the game with injuries. Franklin injured his hamstring on Frank Crum’s touchdown catch, while Bryant left with a concussion after hauling in three quick catches.
Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims, and Lil’Jordan Humphrey had to shoulder the load offensively, and Denver survived it.
During Wednesday’s practice, Franklin and Bryant were both spotted at practice and were listed as limited participants, respectively.
Joining Bryant and Franklin as limited participants were running back J.K. Dobbins and center Alex Forsyth. Dobbins made his return to the practice field on Wednesday for the first time since having surgery to repair a lisfranc injury back in November.
When asked about Dobbins on Wednesday, Broncos head coach Sean Payton said that he wasn’t going to talk about injuries.
Center Luke Wattenberg’s 21-day window opened and he was a full participant alongside tight end Lucas Krull, offensive tackle Frank Crum, linebacker Drew Sanders, and safety JL Skinner.
The only player who was listed as a non-participant is quarterback Bo Nix, who had successful ankle surgery on Tuesday. Denver has not placed him on season-ending injured reserve yet, but that move is expected to take place this week.
