A large police presence was responding to an “incident” near Blue Island Wednesday morning, with both local enforcement and the FBI on scene.
The FBI Chicago Field Office confirmed to NBC Chicago that law enforcement was responding in the vicinity of 11000 block of South Western Avenue.
Photos and video captured by NBC Chicago photographer George Mycyk showed multiple police vehicles and officers surrounding a US Bank branch, at 11960 S. Western Ave., with yellow tape around the building.
The city of Blue Island did not immediately respond to NBC Chicago’s request for information.
