The Chicago Bulls edged their way back towards a .500 record tonight with a resounding 138-110 victory against the visiting LA Clippers. Ultimately, a pace-and-space Chicago squad missing Josh Giddey throttled a halfcourt-heavy, heliocentric Clippers club without Kawhi Leonard.
The Bulls rained down a season-high tally of triples and enjoyed a pass-happy approach to improve to a thoroughly mediocre 21-22 record on the year.
Coby White, even playing on a minutes restriction, looked like his 2024-25 vintage for the second straight contest, further bolstering (let’s be real) his trade value as the Feb. 5 deadline approaches. Matas Buzelis had yet another great all-around game with Giddey sidelined.
First Half: A Chicago Clinic
From the jump, James Harden looked exhausted.
The 36-year-old former All-Star point guard couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn in the first half, and was worse than usual defensively. He shot just 5-of-15 from the floor in the first half. Forward John Collins, who’s been nursing an injury, at times had a noticeable limp.
Chicago, though, played like gangbusters. Buzelis, White and Ayo Dosunmu each already were in double figures. Chicago connected on 14-of-27 looks from distance, while seemingly building out an insurmountable edge through a season-high 45-point second quarter.
At the close of the first half, Chicago led by a seemingly insurmountable margin, 70-49.
Hold that thought.
Bulls Player of the Half: Matas Buzelis – 14 pts, including 3-of-5 shooting from deep.

Chicago had trouble connecting on its field goals in the first half of the third quarter, settling early and often for jumpers.
The Clippers opened up the second half with two brisk corner triples. Billy Donovan, knowing that his Bulls can’t play any defense at all, quickly called a timeout just 56 seconds into the frame to prevent an LA run.
But he utterly failed to do that. Midway through the third period, the Clippers trimmed Chicago’s lead to just seven points.
A 17-3 run, keyed by some highlight-reel explosiveness courtesy of Buzelis, helped Chicago reassert itself late in the frame. The Bulls again were up pretty definitively, 102-83, by the end of the third period.
In the fourth quarter, the 3-point shooting barrage continued apace. Chicago led by as many as 31 points in the frame.
Seven Bulls finished in double-digit scoring, led by 20-plus-point nights out of White and Buzelis. Tre Jones was two rebounds away from a triple-double off the bench, notching 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 shooting from the foul line, 10 dimes and eight boards.
Next up for Chicago is a Thursday evening tilt against the mighty Minnesota Timberwolves, who are one of the best teams in the Western Conference for a third straight season.
Bulls MVP: Coby White – 27 points on 9-of-16 field goal shooting (6-of-10 from long range) and 3-of-3 shooting from the free throw line, six assists, two rebounds, a steal and a block.
Matt Marton-Imagn ImagesNumbers To Remember
The Bulls murdered the Clippers with a sharing-is-caring approach, dishing out 40 assists on 52 made field goals. Chicago tied its franchise record for made triples, 25, on 53.2% shooting. White led the way with 6-of-10 shooting from distance. Both Kevin Huerter and Ayo Dosunmu made four triples on efficient shooting (50 percent and 80 percent, respectively). Nikola Vucevic had been ice-cold from distance entering the game, having connected on just 20.8 percent of his 4.8 triple tries across his last five contests. He did make 50 percent of his takes from that range on Tuesday — but he only took two.Hence then, the article about bulls 3 point barrage annihilates kawhi less clippers 138 110 january 20 2026 was published today ( ) and is available on Bleacher Nation ( Middle East ) The editorial team at PressBee has edited and verified it, and it may have been modified, fully republished, or quoted.
