GREECE, N.Y. — A 48-year-old man has been arrested after Greece Police say he intentionally hit another person with his truck after a road rage encounter.
Police say on Jan. 17 at around 2:15 p.m., officers responded to Maiden Lane for a report of a car crash involving a pedestrian.
After investigating, police say they learned the victim was involved in a traffic-related dispute with Shane Cossey on Mount Read Boulevard. Police say after the victim pulled into a nearby parking lot and left their car, Cossey threw something at the victim from his truck.
Police say Cossey then reversed his truck, intentionally hitting the victim. They say Cossey then fled the scene. The victim was brought to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
According to police, video evidence they got during the investigation lined up with what the victim told police. As a result of the investigation, Cossey was charged with assault and reckless endangerment.
