Bleu claimed that the "whirlwind" of the film's success was tough to navigate as a teenager. "Being launched into that kind of whirlwind before your frontal lobe is even fully formed is fraught with pitfalls to navigate." However, he said that working on the film "forged lifelong relationships amongst the cast and crew."
Tisdale told PEOPLE, "Whenever you put something out into the world, of course you hope people enjoy it. But I couldn’t have imagined the longevity HSM has had."
The film's iconic choreography is what has stuck most with Hudgens. She joked that the dance from "We're All in This Together" is "ingrained into my DNA."
