Actress Angela Kinsey, known for her role as Angela Martin Schrute in the hit comedy, The Office, revealed that she would love to reprise her character for the Peacock spinoff series, The Paper.
During a recent appearance at the FAN EXPO San Francisco 2025, alongside Rainn Wilson, who famously played Angela's love interest, Dwight Schrute, Kinsey was asked if she would be interested in joining The Paper's cast. She shared that she has spoken to Greg Daniels, who developed The Office and created The Paper, about possibly returning as Angela. She also referenced that Oscar Nuñez reprised his Office character, Oscar Martinez, on The Paper. As fans are aware, both Oscar and Angela were accountants on The Office, which had a nine-season run until 2013.
"I was like, 'Greg, if you need Angela Martin to come, you know, if Oscar's having an accounting problem and Angela Martin needs to come, Schrute, Angela Martin Schrute needs to come and help Oscar, I'd be more than happy to,'" said Kinsey during the FAN EXPO San Francisco 2025 panel.

"He mentioned it. He goes, 'I have an idea for something. It is just this idea. Would you be interested?' I said, 'Yeah, of course,'" said Nuñez.
Nuñez suggested that he didn't think The Paper would come to fruition.
"Then subsequently, following meetings and lunches, it grew and grew and grew until finally he's like, 'Come meet the writers.' I'm like, 'What?' And it happened," said Nuñez in the September 2025 interview.
